Only 200,000 Confederations Cup tickets left for sale

Rio de Janeiro – The last-minute Confederations Cup ticket sales phase was announced on Tuesday (May 28) by Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director, as he was introducing the ticket design for this year's edition of the event. The remaining 200,000 tickets will be made available as of June 1st at 10 a.m. (local time). They can be bought both on-line and at designated FIFA Ticketing Centers. The tournament begins on June 15.

Weil reports over 600,000 tickets have already been sold, and those for opening match and final and Brazil's matches are sold out.

Purchased tickets can be picked up as of Wednesday (May 29). Successful purchasers are strongly advised to prearrange time for collection to avoid queuing at the ticketing centers. The addresses of ticketing centers can be found on the FIFA website at www.fifa.com. Opening hours run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

World Cup ticket sales start on August 20.
