Italy's squad arrives in Brazil for the FIFA Confederations Cup

Rio de Janeiro – Italy's soccer team arrived in Rio this morning (June 10) for the Confederations Cup which will begin on Saturday (June 15). The Italian team will play Mexico in their first match on Sunday (June 16), at the “Jornalista Mário Filho” stadium, better known as Maracanã, in the northern region of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The Italian team will start training this afternoon. Tomorrow, Tuesday (June 11) at 3:45 pm, they will play Haiti in a friendly match at the São Januário stadium, also in northern Rio. The match will be both a try-out for the Confederations Cup and a charity event, with the revenue donated to 12 charities operating in Haiti.
For the Confederations Cup, Italy will play in Group A, besides Mexico they will play Japan (June 19, in Recife) and, finally, Brazil. The game against Brazil will be on June 22, in Salvador, Bahia.
In Group B, another four squads will be playing: Tahiti, Spain, Uruguay, and Nigeria.
